On December 8th at 7 p.m. Pacific Standard Time Fox will televise a one-hour show covering the 10th annual Lott IMPACT Trophy Award Ceremony live from the Pacific Club in Newport Beach. The Lott IMPACT Trophy Award Ceremony will bring together the sporting community’s elite to recognize college football’s Defensive IMPACT® Player of the Year. The award is special because it honors young men that not only perform on the field but also embody the IMPACT® acronym; Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity. Patrick O’Neal will serve as FOX’s emcee which will be available in 52 million homes this year, the versatile O’Neal has hosted pre and post-game FOX shows, including the Dodgers and Lakers. The keynote speaker for the event is Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott and Brain Banks will receive this year’s Honorary Lott Trophy.
The Lott IMPACT Trophy will announce its eight semi-finalists Nov. 13 and the four finalists on Nov. 27. The university of the winner will receive $25,000 for its general scholarship fund and each of the other finalists will receive $5,000 for their schools’ general scholarship fund.
