HallPass Media wrapped up a summer full of events with the 7th annual adidas Nations Global Experience, the top global grassroots basketball event of the year. HallPass Media has been involved with adidas Nations for the past five years managing all on-site camp operations and developing digital content to cover the event. adidas Nations alumni include Serge Ibaka, Damian Lillard, Iman Shumpert, Cody Zeller, Steven Adams and many more professional and Division I basketball players.

The 2013 adidas Nations Global Experience brought together 130 of the world’s top 18u players to compete in a tournament at the Next Level Sports Complex in Long Beach, CA. The tournament consisted of teams from the United States, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Australia and culminated in a live broadcast of the 3rd Place and Championship Game on ESPNU.

This year the USA 2014 Blue team coached by Don MacLean defeated the USA 2014 Red team 81-77 to capture the 2013 adidas Nations title. Leading the way for USA 2014 Blue was University of North Carolina’s commit Theo Pinson who scored 15 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. USA 2014 Red’s Stanley Johnson (#12 on ESPN’s Top 100 list) recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.  Team Africa coached by Babacar Sy stood out amongst the international teams by finishing the week with a 3-2 record and by defeating the USA 2015 Red team 69-56 in the 3rd place place game. Africa was led by Sidy Ndir’s 23 points  and Nehdi Ngouma’s 18 points and 7 rebounds. In attendance for championship game were some of the NBA’s finest young stars including Derrick Rose, John Wall and Damian Lillard.
