The Sony Bravia Ladies held off a much improved field to win the second annual Sony Challenge at Stanford University and wrap up their 2008 US tour.
The Bravia ladies beat Wake Forest 3-1 to capture their second straight Sony Challenge title. The field of six teams provided tight battles throughout the tournament with several standout performances. The Bravia ladies finished the tournament with a 6-0-1 record following up a 0-1-1 exhibition record vs. Team USA earlier in the week at the Olympic Traning Center in Chula Vista, CA.
NCAA powerhouse Wake Forest was the runner up, followed by Cal, Penn State, University of Pacific and Stanford. The event marks a two-year partnership with SONY and expansion plans are underway for 2008.
