Tomorrow’s Stars Foundation, 2025 Community Impact Recap
In 2025, the Tomorrow’s Stars Foundation continued to uplift and empower youth across Las Vegas through arts education, media training, civic engagement, and meaningful community partnerships. What began as a small arts program has grown into a citywide force for youth development, leadership, and service.
Youth Education & Creative Development
TSF’s core programs remained the foundation of our impact this year.
Performing & Fine Arts students are trained in music, dance, acting, fashion design, and visual arts, building confidence, discipline, and cultural awareness. The 13-week track culminated in a final showcase featuring performances, fashion pieces, and student portfolios.
On-Air Broadcasting & Film students worked inside a live broadcast studio, writing scripts, hosting segments, filming, editing, and producing broadcast-ready content. This parallel 13-week curriculum gave students hands-on experience and professional-quality work for their creative portfolios.
Together, these programs prepared students for future opportunities by combining technical skill-building with real industry standards.
Citywide Performances & Youth Representation
Youth talent took center stage throughout Las Vegas all year. TSF performers delivered monthly showcases at First Friday, the Las Vegas Civic Center, and Mountain Crest Park. Students were also invited to perform at both Democratic and Republican gala events, demonstrating the trust placed in their professionalism.
Additional highlights included:
- National Anthem performances across March Madness events
- TSF Choir & artists featured at the City of Las Vegas Christmas Tree Lighting
- Over 100 student performers represented TSF during NBA Summer League
- National Anthem Idol gave local students a platform to perform for industry professionals
TSF also selected and trained 24 student-athletes (ages 14–18) to serve on the official NBA Summer League Ball Crew, emphasizing character, service, and leadership.
Community Partnerships & Educational Outreach
TSF expanded its presence across schools and agencies by strengthening key partnerships:
- Continued support for CCSD through the Adopt-a-School program
- Honoring 40+ teachers, coaches, first responders, military members, and community leaders at NBA Summer League
- Ongoing collaboration with the Nevada SPCA, with all featured puppies successfully adopted
- Partnership with The Sunday Collective Fashion House (NYC) to produce Summer League’s first-ever on-court fashion show
- Collaboration with the Las Vegas Clark County Library District, including sustainability classes and a special edition NBA Summer League library card available in all 25 branches
These partnerships reflect TSF’s role as both a youth development organization and a community connector.
Civic Engagement & Annual Traditions
For more than 15 years, TSF has played a pivotal part in the Martin Luther King Parade, one of the largest in the country. Students and staff once again provided volunteer support and produced the televised pre-show, featuring TSF performers and local professional talent.
This year also marked a new outreach opportunity with the National Martin Luther King Commission in Little Rock, Arkansas. TSF recognized several Arkansas educators and coaches at Summer League, strengthening a shared commitment to mentorship and youth empowerment.
Support for Military Families & Workforce Development
TSF continued honoring military families through appreciation events across the valley.
A major milestone was the creation of the first Military Internship: “Transitioning to the Private Sector.”
Developed with longtime supporter Sergeant First Class Benjamin Hewitt—retiring after 20 years of service and now an Associate Professor of Military Sciences at USC—the internship offers veterans structured pathways into civilian careers. This initiative reflects TSF’s growing commitment to mentorship for both youth and adults.
STEM & STEAM Advancement
Through our ongoing partnership with the 4th Family Foundation, TSF delivered hands-on STEM and STEAM clinics teaching engineering and science concepts through basketball.
The 2025 Summer League clinic engaged more than 60 local youth, blending education with interactive play.
Leadership Recognition
A highlight of the year was the recognition of TSF founding member and director Carole Adams Hattar as Citizen of the Year by Mayor Shelley Berkley and the City of Las Vegas. The honor celebrates more than 25 years of Carole’s service, leadership, and her lasting impact through TSF and NBA Summer League.
