HallPass Executes Star Studded Fundraiser Hosted by Mike Breen & Hank Azaria
The 2nd Annual Jalen Brunson Charity Golf Tournament Dinner Reception, presented by Apollo Jets, was truly a night to remember.
Held at the prestigious Westchester Country Club, the event welcomed over 400 guests, including celebrities and notable figures such as Spike Lee, Allan Houston, Monica McNutt, Knicks General Manager Leon Rose, Head Coach Tom Thibodeau, and rising star Jacob Toppin.
Alongside community supporters, they gathered to celebrate and contribute to the impactful mission of the Second Round Foundation (SRF).
The event kicked off with an elegant cocktail hour, sponsored by Johnnie Walker, where guests sipped on premium drinks from a dedicated bar and enjoyed a designated cigar lounge. Live jazz music filled the patio, setting a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere. Guests mingled and browsed a variety of silent auction prizes, ranging from signed jerseys and sneakers to one-of-a-kind memorabilia, all available for bidding.
As the cocktail hour transitioned to dinner, guests were guided past the VIP red carpet towards the breathtaking courtyard. The setup was impeccable, with golf ball-inspired centerpieces on each table and three large screens strategically positioned for presentations. A delicious buffet awaited guests, offering a variety of options to suit every palate, while the attention to detail in accommodating the crowd of 400 was nothing short of exceptional.
Once everyone was seated, the evening’s host, legendary play-by-play commentator Mike Breen, took the stage. Known for his charisma and professionalism, Breen delivered a heartfelt opening, setting the tone for the evening. He introduced the purpose of the event and shared inspiring words about Jalen Brunson and the mission of the SRF.
The awards ceremony was a highlight of the night, celebrating individuals who embody the spirit of the Second Round Foundation.

The winners of the golf tournament, Marc Lomasky, Jeffrey Lomasky, and Jared Effron, were awarded custom Brooks Brothers blazers adorned with the SRF logo. Jalen Brunson himself received a blazer as well, presented by his former coach and Villanova Hall of Famer, Jay Wright, adding a personal and meaningful touch to the moment.
The evening reached another level of excitement when actor and comedian Hank Azaria took over as the auctioneer. Known for his versatility, Azaria delighted the audience by auctioning each prize in the voice of a different Simpson’s character or one of his many well-loved roles. The crowd was engaged and entertained, with bidding participation exceeding expectations.
Among the auction highlights was Keegan-Michael Key securing a coveted experience: golfing with Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart. By the end of the evening, the fundraising efforts surpassed our goal, a testament to the generosity and dedication of everyone in attendance. These funds will directly support SRF’s mission of empowering young individuals to create their own success, regardless of their background or circumstances.
