The Summer League Jr. NBA’s 2018 Fall League is under way as games began September 21st at the Tarkanian Basketball Academy in Las Vegas, NV. This marks the 2nd full year of Friday Night Hoops for boys and girls grades 6,7,8.

The Fall league consists of 8 middle school teams (4 boys & 4 girls teams). Each team plays 4 regular season games, followed by the playoffs which begin October 19th. The Summer League Jr. NBA continues to grow each season as students and parents become more aware of the positive impact the league has on those involved. As one parent stated: “This has truly been a blessing for my son, and having a positive and structured activity on a Friday night is something we should be doing more of.”

Aside from weekly games, student-athletes and staff participate in various community programs to help make a difference in the Las Vegas Community including the upcoming Harvest Mile event (October 6th-7th) – a 58 Mile March saluting the victims from the tragic events of One October.

The goal of Summer League Jr. NBA is to assist the youth throughout Southern Nevada and to provide them with healthy programming focused on leadership, sportsmanship, and accountability while instilling positive core values.

The Summer League Jr. NBA is funded by the Tomorrow’s Stars Foundation.
